The World’s Tallest Building – Dubai

According to Dubai developer Nakheel, the tower will be more than a kilometer high (3,280 feet) and have around 200 floors.  The massive structure will take more than 10 years to complete and the entire development will be home for 55,000 people and a workplace for more than 45,000.

Jones Soda Halloween Flavors

The Official Soda of the Seattle Seahawks, Jones Soda, has announced the limited editions flavors for Halloween 2008. We here at Freshtoid love a good novelty soda, and these new flavors from Jones Soda certainly are novel. Flavors include: Dread Apple, Blood Orange, Buried Pomegranate, and Spoookiwi as well as the highly anticipated return of Candy Corn. The sodas will only be sold at Target stores. Should any of you Freshheads make it over to Target, please let us know you thoughts.

2008 MLB Playoffs

The 2008 Major League Baseball Playoffs start tonight. Unfortunately, the Freshest team in sports, the NY Yankees, will not be participating, but we have a host other new characters to chose from. We are Callin’ It for the record; a West Coast Showdown, to show the rest of the U.S. where the best baseball is played, Dodgers over Angels in 7 (sorry Cubs, not your year again.)

Unbutton Your Beast

This new ad campaign by Levi’s, ‘Unbutton Your Beast’ is definitely getting them some attention. It is no Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld, but it gets the job done (and was probably $10 million cheaper). We all know Levi’s are Fresh to Death, just ask James Dean/Edmondson, and Freshtoid commends Levi Strauss & Co for still reinventing themselves after making the best jeans money can buy for over 130 years.

World’s Largest Jigsaw Puzzle

This German town is claiming to have assembled the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle. A big step up from the Where’s Waldo puzzles of yesteryear. Although for the record, all they did was put together a bunch of small jigsaw puzzles and then place them side by side. So it is like a bunch of small puzzles that fit together to form a big one…Fresh to Death, but would have been even more fresh had it been one large puzzle with 1,141,800 pieces.
