Mochipet

March 11, 2009

I know a lot of the music that we have provided lately seems to revolve around Kanye West, I suspect the same staffers who are on Perez Hilton all day are getting tips about Kanye from Perez. Regardless, we present Mochipet of Daly City Records, the freshest DJ since Girltalk. This mix master throws down beats like childsplay, his hybrid of electronic and hip-hop features the likes of Eprom, The Flying Skulls, Lupe Fiasco, and his own remix of Jamie Lidell’s “Little Bit of Feel Good.” He also has some of the most creative song titles out there including “Pythagorean Hyphy Proof” and his MJ remix “Thriller in Dub.” Listen and download the beats here.

Eminem – Number One

December 10, 2008

First the candles?  Now Slim Shady? We told you Eminem was coming back.

His first leaked single is titled Number One and was produced by Dr. Dre. In fact, in the beginning of the song you hear Eminem flow in a very Dre like monotone style.  Freshtoid believes this is an early cut and only a filler until the Dre decides to record his own vocals.

New Beatles Track

November 17, 2008

Only two members of the group are still alive and the track was recorded 41 years ago, but all your friends with their Beatles T-shirts and ‘if only I were alive in the 60s’ attitude may get what they have all been dreaming of. The track is 13 minutes long and many had believed no longer existed, but former Beatle, Paul McCartney, has said he is interested in finally making it public. Now he just needs permission from the rest of the band…only problem, two of them are dead; more on how that mystery will unfold here.
