Much like the famous seen from Bruce Almighty, (no not that one), the moon will appear larger in the sky than it has for 15 years. It will be another decade before it gets this close again. The Earth will also be passing by the Geminid Meteor shower, and we will be seeing meteors at a rate of up to 100 per hour.
