BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo

February 18, 2009

It may be a concept at this point, but BMW seems to be indicating it will be ready for production soon. The new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo does not really fit into any category, so BMW had to create its own, the PAS or Progressive Activity Sedan. A favorite feature of the new car is the bimodal trunk, it can be opened hatchback style or like a normal trunk. The car is set to debut at the Geneva Auto Show later this year, more information on the new car here.

Cadillac World Thorium Fuel Concept Car

January 19, 2009

The Cadillac World Thorium Fuel Concept Car (Cadillac WTF) is an absolute dream machine. On top of the futuristic looks and style, the car has been created to last 100 year without maintenance. While most cars run on four wheels, the Cadillac WTF actually runs on 24 total wheels, six in each corner. Each wheel has its own motor and only requires to be adjusted every five years, but no material would need to be added or subtracted.

For more AWESOME pics and info on the Cadillac WTF click here.

Lexus Insider

January 8, 2009

If you thought having your Lexus parallel park for you was Fresh, wait until you get behind the wheel of a 2009 model and it starts talking to you about local wineries and tips for enjoying all of the features your car has to offer. Now no one at Freshtoid drives a Lexus, we prefer Europeans, but this seems like it has the potential to completely backfire. Lexus promises not to ‘spam’ its customers, but with messages that last up to three minutes, it could get tiresome for many consumers. Worry not though Lexus owners, we are recording our ad now, and we guarantee it will be the best three minutes spent in your car all year. More on Lexus Insider here.

Flying Ferrari

November 4, 2008

We, or at least I, have been waiting for a flying car for quite sometime and as Doc said in Back to Future if we are going to transform a car, “we might as well do it in style.” The boys at Moller International have developed a prototype based on the Ferrari 599 GTB and if predictions hold true Michael Jackson and other folks with vehicles on pre-order could be flying around in them in two years. The vehicles are expected to cost $800,000. More info here. Flying alarm clock sold separately.
