Lakers Game in Coliseum?

This news may be a few weeks old, but for those who don’t read every line of espn, you may have missed it. It may seem far-fetched but they probably said the same thing about an NHL outdoor game as well and now there are two of those each season. It was reported by Marc Stein over at espn that it could have been a reality if a scheduling conflict had not prevented the Lakers’ exhibition games from being moved to the afternoon. The games would have to be in the afternoon to ensure that it did not get too cold outside to continue the games. Even though it did not happen this season, the fact that most cities would not have the climate or facility to support a game of this nature, gives hope that it is only a matter of time before we see basketball in the Coliseum.

Today, LeBron James and Nike officially unveiled the new Nike Air Max Lebron VII at a press conference in Akron, Ohio. Freshtoid was there this morning, via webcast, and let us tell you, the shoe is hot. It features an Air Max 360 sole which gives King James air support and cushion throughout his entire foot. The shoe also features Nike’s new Flywire element which will give the NBA MVP maximum stability with much less weight and bulk on the shoe.
